In Manish Malhotra

She closed out last year in what probably was one of the worst looks we had seen on her. Yet that didn’t deter Ash from wearing another Malhotra outfit to the Apsara Awards.

The white anarkali wasn’t totally devoid of velvet but we should be glad it wasn’t as much of an eyesore as the last one.

  2. manish malhotra should be banned for creating these velvetty, blingy, volumnous disasters!! the worst part of this outfit are those motifs on the sleeves and the better part is her makeup, she looks nice..

  3. She looks very nice, and surprisingly fresh. She has done this look a million times before but this time the hair is not red, and the make-up doesn’t look cakey. The dress is awful but she is making it work.

  4. dear manish malhotra – why dont you just “design” full scale over the top “desi fusion” ball gowns with can-cans and be done with it?

  5. blahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! neckline is too low to be called sexy and how long will we have to endure ash in these very long, overly bordered anarkalis! the fabric is too quaint to be dressed with 4 borders of stiff material. why people wear so much white to a night function is beyond me anyway

  6. Its a hideous outfit. I dont get it with the glittery patches on the arms… it looks like its inspired by some warrior dress or something….

  7. How very ugly… it is tough to lie. I think Manish went bought velvet by the ton at a fabric sale and stars are nuts to wear clothes like these.

  9. god – a tiny bit of ribbon trim at the bottom and people are acting like its the end of the world. I don’t get this velvet aversion, a top to tie outfit in velvet looks horrible but velvet borders on sarees ect. gives a richness and contrast of textures that I love.

  10. this is the first time i find aishwarya beautiful…because she looks her age. i’m sick of her trying to do the matronly-hip thing (which doesn’t work) with the weird evening gowns and silk shirts and all…the expression in her eyes is inimitable, it has that je ne sais quoi glamor thing going…

  11. I’m seriously rethinking my impression of Ash – thought she was a beautiful, stylish lady. Now, even her loveliness is being overpowered by her blah sense of style. These fussy outfits must go – fast. Thankfully, the hair looks less red at least in these pictures.

  12. have never been a fan of these Manish Malhotra tents(less anarkali more tents) that Ash wears now on every possible occasion. Her eye make up looks hideous the tinge of blue in the lower lid doesn’t gel well, the liner is also abruptly done. But somehow it is Ash’s charm that rises above it all and makes her beautiful and graceful
