do they pay her to wear these? Even if they do, doesn’t she have enough money that she shouldn’t sabotage her appearances for money??

No harsh feelings towards the outfit, but do disagree with you about the hair…i for one love it!

The hair needs a snip, looks uneven. Other than that I can certainly appreciate this look!

The outfit is tolerable. It’s the hair that is atrocious. Fire your stylist Ash.

Totally agree. And whats happened to her hair? i mean it looks so different and unnatural these days.

Hate it…Over embroidered. Doesn’t she realize simple can be good as well…looks aged…

She looks uneasy… the confidence doesn’t show in her body language or face..

She’s lost the fresh faced look since hitting mid-thirties. I don’t like it when people label anyone aunty ji, but that’s how she’s been dressing up for past 5-6 years.

I think that’s because year after year she seems to be adding more layers of make-up. She is caked up most of the time.

I think being in Malaysia she is aptly dressed coz they favour heavily embroidered full sleeve outfits for public events. She luks gorgeous esp in the 3rd pic n toned down I’m in the minority I guess coz I luv the color on her

I’m a Malaysian and I don’t think we favour such blingy, embroidered outfits even more with the crazy weather here. I don’t find the lehenga event appropriate unless it was Indian themed.

When Kate Middleton came she too wore a embroidered gown so Ash could be chanelling Bollywood royalty ;)

        1. dn at | | Reply

You seriously cannot compare Kate’s delicate gown, that too for a formal state dinner, to this outfit at a Longines event.

I’m a Malaysian and we certainly do not favour such overly embroidered outfits. Where did that idea come from anyway?

how can anyone do such a thing to themselves??………… such a pretty face being wasted…………….

I know she has to be loyal to the designer duo but I have yet to see an outfit of there’s look wow on her! and why would she wear this wedding type lehnga to a watch launch??!!

  15. Prettiest_hands at | | Reply

Longines should really consider getting rid off her as a brand ambassador. With the outfit being so blingy and busy who is looking the the watch that she is sporting in. Those awkward poses? Oh Ash… You are an amazingly beautiful… Wish you would stop hiding behind heavy dresses with yards of fabric….

    1. A at | | Reply

Yeah Longines should really consider getting rid of one of their best ambassadors who has dedicated more than 10 years to this watch brand always making it a duty and priority to be there for the brand whenever she’s called at any corner in the world for sporting one “bad” outfit in the eyes of the haters(sarcasm). Malaysians do love very elaborate outfits. In fact a lot of Malaysian dresses are beautifully embroided. She will fit right in. Rai’s been doing this for years. She knows what she’s doing & what’s appropriate to wear where.
Btw these couldn’t have been the best pics on the web. The 1st too are too dark.

It’s a right shame when a plain Jane like me starts feeling sorry for a former Miss World. (No snark here, I really mean it.)

Ms. Rai Bachchan may know what she’s doing in terms of propriety, but unless she’s a giant masochist, I doubt she knows what she’s doing to her body. To say it even more clearly, NO FAVORS.

Wish she’d show her sense of style the same commitment she directs toward her other work responsibilities. :(

It’s the same Abu-Sandeep stuff we have seen for years and unfortunately more to come. So brace yourself! What grabbed my attention is the ton of make-up and awkward poses for the cameras…especially when looking at the camera ( seen on another site) .

The colour looks wonderful on her. That’s the only positive thing that I can say.

What exactly is this outfit? anarkali?? dress? gown with a dupatta? Way too much fabric. Is anybody looking at the watch even?

ARB was also photographed at another occasion in malaysia for longines where she is in all black with her hair straight down with a severe middle parting. how very alice cooper of her.

she is looking nice in her new print ad for the watch. please feature that, PnP.

do ppl commenting here especially on Abu -Sandeep outfits, get paid for writing trash….if they do then they dnt understand these clothes….better go to a fashion school…AJSK always make a person looks stunning….nyways beauty is in d eyes of the beholder…….

What I don’t understand is some ppl repeating themselves like a broken record like it’s heavily embroided. It’s heavily embroided because it’s Abu Sandeep and because it’s Indian. Majority of Indian dresses have embroidery and other detailed handiwork. If the outfit is Indian, it’s going to have a lot going on in terms of embroidery and all of that, that’s a given.
