Off The Red Carpet

While at Cannes, Aishwarya has been making appearances off the red carpet as well. A media call saw her in a look consisting of a YSL shirt, Zac Posen skirt and an Armani belt which we found very reminiscent of Carolina Herrera. If Jessica Miller hadn’t given us the same look (in Dolce & Gabbana) already, we would’ve loved to see this on the red carpet as well.

Her portrait session look in the silk lace blouse and pants was a very flattering one at first glance but the more we looked, the more the black (waistcoat) on black didn’t make sense.

Of the two looks, which one do you prefer?

    • Agreed! She looks lovely in the black and white look. Now that’s an outfit that hugs her curves in all the right places,
at the same time she looks comfortable and confident.

Not fond of second look at all. But the red lips look is something she should try more.

I also love Jessica Miller’s shiny black skirt!! Total drool.

  1. The first look in my opinion is the best look of hers so far in Cannes. She seems confident and powerful yet elegant in it. I saw an adorable pic of Ash carrying Aradhya wearing the same outfit in another site.

  2. The red lips on the first look would’ve made her look 10/10. But its Aishwarya we are talking about, she’s very close to being a 10/10 sigh.

  3. Meh… Jessica Miller rocks the look. Aish looks drab. Less a movie star, more a part of the entourage. The second look is just silly. Esp coz of the posing.

    • Oh please Jessica Miller has no waist and hair like she just rolled out of bed and walked onto the red carpet. I’m sure if you saw that look on an Indian celeb ppl would be criticizing it so much.
Aishwarya looks put together, happy, confident and even her poses are better than Miller’s awkward pose.

  4. FINALLY she looks good! The black and white one makes her look genuine and the all-black one makes her look glamourous. I’ll take this over all the stupid, blingy, aunteeji Abu-Sandeep horrors she wears. As for the Sabya sarees.. I think it is more her own taste than the work that Sabya does. We have seen him do beautiful stuff elsewhere.

  5. indians love aish.. no matter how hideous her clothes are or how bad her make up is .. they still fawn over her.. and go on about how she is drop-dead gorgeous..
    i seriously dont get it..
even i think she is pretty.. given the right clothes and make up
but most of the time she gets it wrong..
im just going to yawn and move on

  8. Her body looks smokin’ in the first look. Zac Posen skirt hugs her curves in the right places. Now if we could put the face from second look on the body from the first look that would be perfection.

  9. One of the beauties of our times who will be remembered down the years for her stunning looks, just as we still pay homage to a Madhubala today. Those features come together so perfectly in that face. She’s one woman who can make me gush about her pretty face – so it takes a lot of hard work from the likes of Abu Sandeep and what I suspect is her own slight cluelessness about what looks good on her, to make me look past that face and cringe over some of her terrible looks in the past. These particular outfits are just ho-hum but at least they don’t make her look dowdy or ridiculous., so thumbs up for that!

  10. She looks her best in the white/black. Love that the skirt plays on her curvaceous body. Very classy!

The all black has a very slimming effect on her. The red lips goes well with the look.

  11. I prefer the media call look. It took a while for her to learn how to dress her new body, but now she’s finally nailed it this year at Cannes.

  12. Love the Media Call look on her, she looks great. Agreed re” The Portrait Session: the black waistcoat was unnecessary. Her hair looks fab: thick, rich, lustrous!

  13. Aish has never got it right – this is as close as she can get to ‘right’ – period . If this werent Aish s pics would you look at these pics and gush about great style?

  14. Man I wish I can age more gracefully than this. The all black outfit and the red lipstick and the weird pose is just so, um, forced. She looks as though she is trying to dress the same before her baby break. Uncomfortable.
