  1. armani prive one is the best.. and also the last one.. i mean whatever said and done.. not a lot of people can carry of pastels so beautifully.. and i like that she is not super chiseled like the models wearing the dresses — gives a kinda softness and appeal that is very real life..

also see how she has a bangle in the first 3 pics (her loha – traditional bangle for married bengali woman) on her wrist as well.. adds to the uniqueness/realism .. rather than a cuff or another accessory that goes with the dress…

  2. The Prive takes the cake in terms of best dress and best shot! When I first saw the entire collection (much of which was pretty corset-based) it seemed like a bad idea. But with Ash wearing it (given that she fills it out better than a model would), it doesn’t seem half-bad.

ps: The curtains in the pic are Scalamandre – absolutely beautiful sheers!

  3. Contrary to most here, I think Ash looks pretty good on the cover – kinda regal, and we know THAT image she can carry off pretty well. Love the Armani pic too, but especially like the one with the backless!!

And MM, I totally agree – the presence of the “loha” bangle in the pics adds a tad more realism to her persona and looks like a part of the person, not just an accessory! Good observation.

  4. Totally digging these pictures of Ash. Really wish the Prive or the Halston was the cover. But the Prive just takes the gold here. The hair, the curtains, the pose, the look, everything….if I have one comment, it is that I’m not digging her footwear all that much in the pic.

  5. I wasn’t impressed with the cover at all. But man, she looks gorgeous in all of the rest of the pics. I love the Armani Prive dress on her and the backless is amazing on her. Like someone said, it looks good because she fills ’em out good instead of the models.

  6. she looks amazing
it’s very soft and sexy and glamorous and natural and actually EDGY (al little bit)
this is the non-super-bahu Ash I think we all want to see!
she looks veyr minamalist and organic, I LOVE
    I love that Prive too!
the cover doesn’t really match the rest of the photshoot-but Ilike it too, very Grace Kelly

  7. Oh my! What a nice surprise. The cover photo gets you ready for some nice-‘n-staid pics inside & then you see the backless one and you are transfixed!!! Way to go Ash, I like it that she still takes risks with her portrayal.

  8. Me,

It might seem that we are glued to the computer but that isn’t always the case! 🙂 As and when we see the comments, we approve them so you might see a delay! As for any other comments that you have posted on this post, we don’t see them. Maybe you posted them on the other two Ash Vogue posts?

  12. Hair – B (Looks like she just got Some Some 😉

Dresses on her curves – A (looks much better than those hungry teenage models. You need an Indian woman’s body to pull those dresses off. Bharat Mata ki jay)

Makeup – A ( I don’t care if it is photoshopped or not. Look at the spooky makeup on the Armani and Valentino models)

Overall – A (Love her , although I am kinda bored with seeing her all my adult life)

  13. I too think she looks quite ethereal in all the outfits and I agree that she can carry off pastels quite well. However, MOST of the clothes she wears or have been wearing so far are pastels. Haven’t we seen enough of her in pastels? It is high time she chose some bold colors especially for magazine shots. I want to see her in some deep rich colors and avant garde designs. c’mon Ash please step outside the box and show us that you are a risk taker.

  14. @ rashmi…im sorry thats pretty risky..considering shes from the bachchan family…they even took out her kissing scene from dhoom 2…so this is pretty risky..look at the last pic…andp please stop complaining..this is the best she has looked so far ..when she wears red…like she did at filmfare and those blue capris recently then ppl complain and now no pastels? come on.

  15. ash looks HOTTTTTTT in the backless pic! i usually find her too well put together and lacking in spontaneity and effortless style (the name of a certain deepika padukone also comes to mind here) but in this pic she looks so sensual! awesome.

  16. Hey P&P (HHC),

Please post some new pictures of people so we can spend time critiquing them. I am having withdrawal symptoms already and have started commenting on my little girls “pull ups”.

    Thanks

  17. lol. The Dhoom 2 kiss was never removed.
I don’t think the Bachchans are as conservative as some like to paint them as. I remember when Aishwarya got married, the media stories on how they were going to force her to stop working. Really silly stuff.
Anyway, yeah agree this is the hottest we’ve seen Ash in a long time.

  18. She looks lovely…and the dresses are beautiful. I can literally feel the softness of the Valentino. But I did not particularly take to the leg pose in the Prive.. it’s looking kind odd..just the lower part.

  19. omg..look how HUGE her upper body looks in the first pic compared to the pic right below it….cleary badly photoshopped…even her lips and face is badly photoshopped.

and the backless dress….now how come her family isn’t objecting to this like they last time when her other backless pic was published?…clear double standards!!

  20. HOT HOT HOT!!! Abhishekh is one lucky lucky man…

  21. I think I like the Cinderella pull ups more than the ones with all the princesses together. The ones with all the princesses together just looks over crowded.

For the people who did not understand this – I was commenting on my daughter’s pull ups because P & P have not posted a single new picture in last 5 hrs.

  22. Not a big fan of hers but she does look stunning in the last 2 pics…her features are just perfect for such profile shots. I want to see a mug shot of hers…bet she looks good in that as well :p

  23. Ok so I’ve always been a huge fan of her beauty (stresses on huge and beauty) and I think she looks sooooo good in these pictures. I’ve kinda missed her I’m so sick of Kareena..Katrina..etc. She can def work pastels like no other they just look fabulous on her. It’s ok..but for the first anniversary I kinda thought we’d get to see something bigger. I mean the pastels are nice..and the shoot is also nice.. but I was expecting maybe an outdoor shoot with bolder clothes.

  24. I normally find Ash too plastic for my liking. But here she looking amazing, I love the unkempt look on her. Not too fond of the front cover.
I think she is probably the only Indian actress of the current lot who can carry those beautiful soft contours to perfection. She is looking gorgeous and so are the outfits. I much prefer them on her than on the models.

  25. I think this post is most commented on HHC….ye ye off the topic and all that I know…. I think she looks nice in the pics.. totally photoshopped I feel…last time i saw her, she was a bit on the ‘healthier’ side 😉

  26. Ash looks infinitely better than the cover here. She has a classic beauty and the beige colours work for the classic theme. I still wish there was a little bit more colour but all the clothes are beautiful. My favourites are the Halston (the backless one is WOW) and Prive, in that order.

I wish her makeup and/or background was more loud. It would’ve made the shoot perfect.

  27. she is a beautiful woman…beautiful clohes. and yes…the armani prive is the best shot.

i agree with MM..thats a loha bangle alright…and it does add a special earthy touch to the otherwise very glossy shots.

  29. am an unabashed ash fan…despite all the negative flak she often receives from readers here, hers is one of the most talked-about reply area in HHC.
Despite her sense of dressing, she still come out looking lovely. But with fine feathers such as these, she outshines the models. Now if only she will experiment with jewel-like colors, or a naughty number of scarlet and black…she should try pushing the envelope now and then, something different.

  30. Sharin, not true – they repeated the number during the Unforgettable tour- but that was my point – being professionals, they prolly understand that wearing slightly revealing clothes is part of the whole image preservation thing as well…
