In Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli celebrated 40 years in the fashion world last night with a huge bash in Paris that had Abhishek and Aishwarya in attendance. Aishwarya wore a long version of the fishscaled flapper dress from the Resort 2009 collection and contrasted it with a cobalt blue clutch.

Love how glamourous the gown is, but the blue clutch feels too much of a contrast against the silver.

P.S. Am I seeing a tiny faux-hawk on AB. Jr.?

  1. Ladies at HHC, come on now. Aish looks absolutely stunning. the contrasting clutch was all you can think about? The white/silver clutch on the model looks washed out and needs some contrast! Aish looks superb/perfect!!! Glamor at its best! Abhishek looks good and together they look fab!!

  2. i appreciate that her arms dont look like sticks anymore and she looks more like an actual woman these days (instead of the super skinny avatar she took on earlier).

  3. She looks good in the silver color.
But may be I am the only one not liking the dress.
I hate how the dress fits her near the bust & tummy, also the fish tail part looks like an add-on to the short dress the model wore.
and not a fan of the curls.

  4. meh! dont like the modification..there are ‘flappers’ hanging off her bum…and she needs to stop wid the one eyebrow arched pose! but sigh, she does look beautiful!

  5. r u guys kidding me? this gorgeous dress is not for her figure at all- she looks heavy. her asstes are pointing to her chin and her hair is the same= big and curly = the make up is oily and the clucth is horrid! abhi is as boring as they come with black suit white shirt- wonder if he came with that all by himself..

    • wow thats a lot of bitterness for a look that is hardly seriously flawed. Most men wear black and white and most formal events, Im surprised that you have not realized this relatively common fact, its not boring, just classic. And “her assets pointing to her chin” what a classy way of putting it.

  7. I think I am the only one who thinks she doesnt do justice to that gown.. that hair color looks hideous with the gown. The clutch looks so tacky..!
and I am not an aish critic.. i totally think she is prob the prettiest woman on earth.. but not here !!

  8. it is not flattering on her stomach and she could have done without the little girl ringlets..some thing more sleek would have looked better with all the detail on the dress

  9. Stunning (I have to forgive the clutch just because she’s so elegant and beautiful here)

    And Abhishek actually looks dapper!

I hope they keep this up! 🙂

    • Maybe it has some sentimental value. Could be like a kada or the mangal sutra kinda thing. The traditionalist in me kinda likes it when people wear such things 😉

  10. Aish no doubt is a very beautiful girl .. but this dress is too flashy and long… my guess is short length version of the dress (as seen on model) would have looked better..

  11. I think she looks gorgeous and they make the loveliest couple! That gown is stunning! I wouldn’t have picked that clutch but i also agree that the silver one on the model is a washout!

  12. With a face like that who is looking at the outfit. However once you do get past the face and go to the outfit something is not 100% right here. The dress doesnt fit well.
AB is ok. He needs to get rid of that face fuzz.

  13. Woww she looks awesome! I love the bright silver contrasting with her brown hair. I think we’re all starting to accept her new body and it’s starting to look normal and fine to most people, don’t you think? If this picture was posted a year ago guaranteed most of the comments would be on her body not the dress, it’s nice to see the turnaround. I don’t think the dress fits odd around the tummy I think it’s just the way the light is hitting the gown. I like the colour of the clutch I just don’t like the clutch itself. She looks divine I love it.

    • its not her body- i appreciate that she looks like a normal, healthy woman and she looks fine in that regard..i ahte size zero and all that hullaballoo
but then you have to dress accordingly- it is basic fashion sense that if you have a tummy, then you wear clothes that dont highlight that unnessarily. ash i think doesnt consult the mirror when she gets dressed

  14. I wud change only one thing- her hair color, to black! it wud all go together. black hair, silver gown and blue clutch! the brown hair isnt suiting the ensemble.

  17. although the color of the dress looks absolutely gorgeous on her… doesn’t the long version of this dress and the tight curls of her hairs look very cheap…the short version is sexier and and glamorous.

  18. I don’t like this look at all….. clutch looks very cheap and i hate her dress….i prefer shorten version more……….hair is horrible
She may be the prettiest woman in bollywood but here

  19. Why did she not go for the shorter version?? its soooo sexy!!! longer version makes her upper body look wider. ..i think its the (sticking) material.
she rocks the silver color though.
