It was a night out also for yummy mummy Aishwarya who wore what seemed like an Abu-Sandeep suit with flats. Jr. B kept it simple which we liked considering Ash’s suit was quite rich.

    • PLease dont assume every new mom who’s lost wait is starved. I lost weight very easiily despite nursing and having no one to help me or the time to go to the gym. Just coz people look after themselves and maintain themselves better than others doesnt mean they starve themselves. They r not neglecting their babies its just that they are dedicated enough and put extra effort to look after both their babies and themselves.
Its surprisng that despite having the means to have a personal trainer and chef and extended family at home some people do not get back in shape. Nothing wrong with them either. . I am sure most new moms are not neither gluttonous or starving. Everybody is different

  1. Just because she is Ash and just because she is wearing Abu-Sandeep, doesnt make her a yummy mummy…she looks tired (I understand her being a new mom and all)…but the gaudy suit with the odd kurta length is not helping her.

    • Sorry, as a new mom I find your comment condescending! I think every new mom, weather she’s Aish or not deserves to be called yummy.. Sure this is a fashion blog and the suit looks gaudy but she’s portraying what most new moms dress like, in clothes that don’t fit exactly because you’re still transitioning in sizes.. (even if she’s Aish and you probably perceive her to have a zillion helps to do all her work and she all the time in the world to dress to 10’s )

      • Completely agree with Padma….new mommy or old, Aish or not, if she dresses badly, it should be pointed out! Nobody here is pointing out her size, but no matter what size, your taste should still say the same…that suit is plain and simple tacky! P&P must have tried hard to come up with something positive to say about it..hence the yummy mummy 😉

      • I am a mummy of two. Before and after pregnancy I also “transitioned” into various sizes of jeans, tops and ethnic wear. I could not afford and did not have beaucoup $$, nor a stylist or access to beautiful clothes that Ash has. But I was certainly aware of what complimented my ever changing body and dressed accordingly. The problem I have is yes, she has zillions helping, guiding, advising at the blink of an eye…..and she still missed the cue. She doesn’t deserve the term “yummy”. I hope she was able to chat with Lara Datta and Shilpa Shetty at the reception .

        • Good to know you dress to 10’s all the time and your combinations, fit and style are always 100% right, how smart of you 🙂 thrilled to know that you are always cued in unlike Aishwarya 🙂 I did say it was gaudy, just that I wouldn’t judge the fit and I dont think the hair and make up are so awful, like someone else here said, I think she’s taking it easy and has no clue so many of you are getting so worked up:):)
And I’ll take her pretty face any day over the other two stars you were just talking about, have a good day :):)

          • I do agree with you…she is a very beautiful woman….but one who makes far more fashion errors than the aforementioned women. I was not comparing beauty, just the mere fact that Ash dressed in bad taste, head to toe…in this case her saving grace was her gorgeous face.

  2. looking at aishwarya reminds me of Jaya bachan in these abu-sandeep, which sometimes dont give proper shape & definition……….She should have picked something else, may be full hands anarkali.
    yaa abhi looks nice.

(did they go on a holiday, look tanned)

  3. It’s an ill-fitting, gaudy suit which needed heeled shoes. I wish she had done something with het hair which also looks a mess. Granted she is a new mommy but with a face like that she doesn’t need to try too hard to look good.

  4. Sorry but I don’t think she looks like a yummy mummy in this outfit. I think it makes her look frumpy and it is too too jhill-mill. Wearinga pair of heels would have helped the whole outfit. Abhi needs to have worn a tie, cut his hair and buttoned up his shirt. If you are going to a wedding reception, look the part!

  5. Nothing yummy about this mummy, sorry. Shiny outfit and cakey make-up.

Jaya Bachchan looked way better in a similar Abu Sandeep outfit 2 days ago.

  6. You dont need to lose weight to look good. Lara Dutta, who btw hasnt gone back to her skinny self just yet, was at the same party and looked absolutely stunning in a black Ritu Kumar saree. I wish Aishwarya for once would wear something more flattering, less gaudy, and more pleasing to the eyes.

  7. Agree with the comments, she does not look like a yummy mummy, lara looked apt for this comment. Looks like Ash’s full concentration is on the baby.

  8. She looks beautiful as always, however her outfit should have a little more fitting at least, or she should have opted for a saree.
I really can’t wait to see her in a outfit with a little more fitting.
The dress looks very loose, making her look more bigger than what she may actually be.

Her face looks chubby, but i think with her previous appearance she had curly locks which were short around her face, and only made her face look even more rounder, this time its not that bad.

  9. For me Ash was, is and will always remain one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Her face is just exquisite. But I’m letting my insecurity show by saying I’m a leeeeetle bit happy that even Ash cannot carry off such a gaudy outfit and lackluster hair and make up! What’s the deal here…blame it on the outfit? There’s nothing flattering about that outfit and the length of the kurta just adds to the mess.

HOWEVER, sigh…she is Ash…no denying the beauty of those eyes, the inherent grace and that sweetness in her face. And I’m not even a fan – can’t stand her in interviews! But there’s something about Aishwarya…

  10. Ill fitting and overly shiny suit, bad make-up, bad choice of footwear, messy hair – from what angle does she look like a yummy mummy? She needs to go for dresses that suit her current body shape, put on less makeup and allow the healthy motherhood glow to shine (see Lara Dutta), reduce the bling bling, and wear nice heels that will make her body look leaner and longer. And of course – do something about that hair.

    • I did that for months after I had my first baby too! It just becomes a habit and feels so weird that there’s no baby in my still round tummy! LOL! I know exactly what she’s doing!!

  11. I agree with all the comments above. TERRIBLE outfit – color, shape, style and BAD makeup. She does look like going to this event was a last minute decsion

  12. Guess she must be wearing clothes that are comfortable but that suit needs to go. I don’t think if it was fitted also it would do much for her or anyone…its too shiny.

  13. if any other day of any other year i would have been extremely critical of her look..but now, i dont even think she would give a damn about how she looks 🙂 i am happy she is not dieting herself to being stick thin and looks like a new mommy….

  14. She looks like a normal new mom, which is very endearing to me. I felt good seeing this picture. I am so sick of seeing anorexic new celeb moms flaunting their body. Ash, on the other hand seems like taking the natural route. I think, she looks great!

  16. frankly aish was a disappointing dresser through her pregnancy and post baby… the tent suits are very very aunty ji!!! love how Lara and shilpa flaunted the baby bump… and Lara still looks like a new mommy but just dresses better!!!!

and yes I am a new mummy and a yummy one at that!!! I don’t starve myself … but just exercise and dress according to my new body shape …

  17. You know, she has spent nearly all her adult life being the perfect face/ figure/look and I think she has, for the moment, decided that her priorities go beyond how she looks to the world. Give the lady a break. This is probably the first time in her life that she has been enjoying three full meals a day and like somebody pointed out, it was probably a last minute decision to attend the event. She could have dressed less shiny but she probably just borrowed her mom-in-law’s suit and went. Sometimes we all ought to do that. (Not borrow our mom-in-law’s suit but decide to go to a party at the last minute and wear whatever is at hand, instead of agonizing for hours over how to dress!).

  18. It doesn’t look THAT bad, but definitely could’ve been better. That necklace was too much & it had to go. This outfit is not Aish. It’s her mother-in-law. I feel like she has a lot of pressure every time she steps out of the house because she’s Aishwarya Rai. People have forgotten that she is a human being and because of the title “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” which btw will always be true in my eyes, can’t see anyone other than Aish more deserving of such a title, people judge her more harshly than they would say Vidya Balan. Vidya never gets it right yet not many ppl care. But I guess there’s a price to pay for being as beautiful as Aish. But she could care less right now. We have to remember her priorities are no longer the same. Everybody’s priorities change after having a baby. Plus it’s not like she went to this reception to make a fashion statement like she would at Cannes. She probably just went there to congratulate the couple. But I hope she makes more outings I don’t want her to stay in the house too long & forget how to dress.
