The latest issue of Verve saw the power couple Mukesh and Neeta Ambani on it’s cover.
Neeta wore a beige chiffon and handmade lace ruffled sari from Pratima Gaurav. The sari when we first saw, admittedly, we were quite iffy about. But, having seen it on Ms. Ambani and how great it photographs, we are ready to do a rethink. Quite the picture of elegance she makes.

A recent launch had Vidya Malwade make that token celebrity appearance in an olive Swapnil Shinde (who also showed his collection at the launch) dress. As lovely as the color looked on her, the hair was a dampener.
As for the dress itself, waist-up it seems a tad reminiscent of the Bottega Veneta gown seen on Leighton Meester.

Ushoshi Sengupta was the winner of the I Am She contest and gets to be India’s representative the the upcoming Ms. Universe contest in August. What surprised us though was seeing the same Versace gown on her that we just saw on the cover of Vogue India on Jacqueline. Lucky gal!

The reigning Miss Universe Stephania Fernandez, who attended the I Am She contest to pick the next Indian representative to the pageant, was spotted at an event wearing a light blue sari with pink rose embroidery details. Not a sari we’d ever wear (there’s just too many roses on this one) but that aside she does look good.

I love the idea of a white tee, denims and an orange sling bag, but knowing as you all do of our aversion to distressed denims, you’ve got to know this look is going to be a bit of a downer for us personally.
Also, man that bag is huuuge! I wish there was a better side-view picture coz’ then you’d see how overwhelming that bag looks on Kareena.
