You’d think that after a wedding and countless receptions, Sania and Shoaib would take off for a while. Instead, the newly weds made an appearance at the Diesel Party and at the Femina Miss India 2010 where Sania was a judge.
At the Diesel party, Ms. Mirza chose a black dress with a sheer-neck detail. I instantly disliked this look because I hate seeing straps under a sheer neck. If you can’t go strapless, skip on the outfit is my mantra. If you really must wear, then go with a more interesting strap and by that I mean lace ones. (Definitely stay far away from clear straps!)

If I am not mistaken, this is the first time Sania has been spotted in one and I applaud her for trying a new look. But, the color and the design of the gown really didn’t do her justice. The crossed drape wasn’t flattering and with the red lips, it was all too overwhelming. Am sure Ms. Mirza will do much better the next time around, or so I hope.

For someone so strikingly pretty, why so strikingly drab all the time?
I would’ve unequivocally loved her appearance from the Press Meet had it not been for that monstrous Fendi monogram bag (a monogram I hate even more than LV) and those shades. The simple cotton sari (so refreshing) paired with the silver jewelry worked so well on Ms. Koirala.

Two separate Film Festivals saw these two ladies make an appearance in pastel, summery and casual Indian ensembles… However, it’s not the best we’ve seen them do.
Between the two ladies, I have to go with Tanisha because she just seems to have the better outfit. As far as accessories go, am sure she could use some help though. A clutch instead of that awkward teeny bag and perhaps less chunkier sandals and we’d have had a whole different story on our hands.

I can’t decide what’s worse, a dress that does nothing for Ms. Goswami or the Indian ensemble with meagre (and failed) attempt at tasteful “fusion”.

Designer Deepika Gehani was spotted in a M Missoni dress at a recent launch. The dress in itself was signature M Missoni, not much to comment on there. I do have a minor beef with the shoes and choice of earrings though, but oh well!

As part of winning the Ms. India crown, the ladies get outfits to wear from several designers and last years winners got to wear ones by Malini Ramani, Ranna Gill, Ritu Kumar to name a few. Chances are that Pooja and Shriya are wearing dresses given to them as part of that deal. Now that’s a good motivation to try for Ms. India, isn’t it?
I loved how Shriya looked in the white Malini Ramani but then I saw the sandals and was disappointed. Pooja, seems to have a dress that has an interesting neckline but then her hair hides it completely. Her gold sandals are such a mismatch too.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did. Ms. Sen who almost always is seen in denims with a big buckle belt ditched them for high-waisted pants and a white shirt and if she just hadn’t put on that weird contraption passing off for a necklace, we would have had such a good look.
She did fare better in the Stella dress at Kitsch Fashion show but it wasn’t a look fabulous enough to make us forget the ‘WTHeyyy’ look from the day event. If we could get a sound byte from her, I’d love to know what made her pair that piece with the pants look.

In terms of their outfits, these two were poles apart with Nishka doing a very girly look with the strapless frock and Shraddha a more edgy look with denims and suspenders. Where the connect is that they both added a bright color to their outfit.
Nishka contrasted with a lime green BV knot clutch and Shraddha with the pink suspenders. I have got to say while I love the green nails on Nishka, am gravitating more towards Shraddha. It is more my style. Yes, am even ok with the distressed denims because it works with the look. I just wish Shraddha had picked a better lipstick. Whose look is more you?

Days ago, Jenna Lyons (Executive Creative Director of J.Crew) was featured on Oprah and we just fell in love with her sequin pants look. Sequin pants can be so overwhelming (especially in silver) but Jenna tones it down by wearing a soft nautical tee in grey. Ms. Mehra, also does the same by pairing hers with a white tee and also comes off looking so good.
I love both their looks so much I want to get myself a pair of the sequin pants too. The hunt begins. ;)
P.S. Catch a clearer view of Jenna Lyons on Oprah here.

Spotted Bottega Veneta Spring 2010 arm candies on these two ladies at a recent launch. Am not sure if I particularly dig the ombré Knot, but am totally loving the flat clutch.
You?
P.S: These clutches happen to be on Bluefly now so grab ‘em while you still can.
