Turns out that Ms. Kapoor was in a McQ By Alexander McQueen jersey dress on election day. Avanti Birla also wore the same print in a dress version at the ‘Ceres’ store launch with booties. (See here.)

Sisters Sucheta and Urvashi graced Amara’s Spring collection preview wearing dresses by Swapnil Shinde, who was also previewing his collection. Sucheta wore a black dress (a variation can be seen on the runway here) and Urvashi chose a two-tone green one. Sucheta probably doesn’t like to wear makeup but because Urvashi did, that made us give her (Urvashi) our vote.. Her outfit just seems more complete thanks to the finishing touches provided by make-up.

Nandita Das and Tisca Chopra made an appearance this past week in LA at the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival for the world premiere of “Gandhi, My Father”. Both ladies wore saris that they accessorized with gold batuas. Nandita wore a maroon silk while Tisca wore the same one from last year’s Filmfare Awards, this time with a different blouse.
We haven’t seen Tisca too many times in a sari, but even at the Firaaq premiere Tisca wore a contrast color blouse. Guess, we’ll have to wait for another appearance to see if that is her favorite thing to do! As for Nandita, we ( and you) loved her sari from the Firaaq premiere and after seeing that one, this one seems quite so so. Don’t you think?

Just for a moment lets get past the mediocre (and sort of ill-fitting) dress and appreciate the fact that Divya finally moved past all that is strapless… Yay!
